Bicycle Brookline's beautiful Beacon Street - without any cars to worry about! The tenth annual Brookline Bike Parade is a fun, family-friendly (ages 8 to 88+), free, five-mile ride to celebrate, encourage, and call attention to the environmental, physical, and social benefits of bicycling.
We’ll have the police in front. The police in back. And the police bicycling with us! Car free!
Come to Amory Park at 11:15 a.m. for free bike safety checks by area shops, food to purchase, displays, give-aways, and great music. The parade starts promptly at 1 p.m.!
There are actually two parades. They both start from Amory Park. Younger children accompanied by their parents cycle through Cottage Farm (1.5 mile parade). No training wheels! Everyone else – that is any cyclist aged 8 to 88+ who can ride five miles on a hilly course at a leisurely 8 mph with a reliable bicycle – heads up Beacon Street. (5 mile parade).
And when we get back to Amory Park? Get your free popsicle or ice cream!
Register online by going to www.BrooklineBikes.org or register in person at the event at Amory Park.
Remember. It’s not a race. It’s not a fundraiser. It’s a parade of hundreds of bikes! In Brookline. On Sunday, May 21, 2017. Join the fun!
