Lexington Bike Smart Day for 4th and 5th Graders

Whether riding for fun or for transportation, the Bike Smart clas is designed to build rider confidence.  Students will learn how to check their bike for safety; properly fit their helmet; learn bicycle handling techniques, signaling and additional biking skills.  The class will be led by Bruce Kulik and Patrick Bibbins, both experienced League of American Bicyclists instructors.  With the help of police officers, students will practice street skills that will make them better, safer riders when they're ready to ride on the road.  All participants must have a helmet and a bicycle in good riding condition.  Pre-register by calling 781-698-4800 or go to http://lexingtonma.gov/recreation-and-community-programs.  Offered in partnership with the Lexington Bicycle Advisory Committee.  There is now a waitlist for this event.
